EASA2020 Lisbon Follow-on events (ELFs)

Alongside the virtual EASA2020 conference, EASA agreed to provide €10,000 to fund a small number of EASA Lisbon follow-on events (ELFs). These activities should reflect the 30-year anniversary of EASA and take the Lisbon venue into account. They should not be based on panels originally planned for the conference, but should be additional and different events (this could include labs and network meetings). The call for proposals is now open and all members and networks are eligible to apply.

EASA cannot sanction holding any face-to-face (f2f) events while it is not deemed safe to do so. Consequently the Exec would advise applicants not to plan events of any significant size as f2f before the autumn (at the earliest). Instead, EASA is looking for proposals for virtual activities, which could have a nodal aspect in Lisbon (with up to ten f2f, socially distancing participants). ELFs will need to be have a local coordinator or co-organiser, as they will be hosted by local institutions. ELFs cannot be postponed beyond 2021.

The ELF proposal should consist of a titie, proposed date, activity description and any further details available. You should include a tentative budget with explanation of what EASA's funds would cover. ELF applications should be emailed to easa(at)nomadit.co.uk by 15th December. If you have questions you can ask those of the same email address.
