Role (brief): Lead qualitative fieldwork in Colombia for WP2 and WP4, including life-history interviews, ethnographic observation, and social cartography with ex-combatants; collaborate closely with the PI and the social-psychology postdoc to integrate qualitative insights with survey design and results; co-author publications and contribute to cross-method theory building.

Opportunities: Conduct ethnographic research with strong institutional and fieldwork support; collaborate with local researchers/NGOs and reintegration stakeholders; present at international conferences and engage policy audiences; access broad lab networks in Norway/Europe/US; time and resources to complete ongoing work and initiate new agendas.

Qualifications (essential): PhD in anthropology (cultural/social/evolutionary or closely related); proven ethnographic expertise; fieldwork experience (preferably in Latin America) and ability to conduct research in Colombia; excellent Spanish and English; strong qualitative analysis skills (e.g., NVivo/Atlas.ti); collaborative mindset.
Desirable: Research on ritual/identity/conflict/reintegration; experience with experimental/behavioural methods; cross-cultural comparative work; familiarity with trauma-informed ethics and DDR/reintegration.

Terms: Research-only, on-site in Oslo with field travel to Colombia; starting salary from NOK 769,893 (before taxes); membership in the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund; PRIO employee benefits.
