Call for Abstracts International Symposium
Retirement migration to the =84global South=93 =96 Current insights and future perspectives Research Cluster Transnational Aging at the University of Mainz, Germany March 11th-13th, 2020
The symposium will provide an international space for scholars who are inte= rested in current developments of retirement migration in its =93North-Sout= h=94 nexus. It offers a forum to discuss empirical evidence and its theoret= ical and political implications. We especially welcome papers that focus on= =96 but need not to be limited to =96 the following aspects:
- Social and political backgrounds of retirement migration
- Life circumstances and life worlds of the retirement migrants
- Social support and social protection of older people
- Challenges and repercussions for the countries involved Final date for abstract submission is July 31, 2019.
