Dear Anthromob Members,
As an EASA2026 conference co-convenor, I would like to invite you to the event that should be of our network members’ interest: a play about the humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border which will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by researchers-cum-activists from the Researchers on the Border Group. The event will take place on Wednesday, 18.00-19.45, in the Polish Theatre (in the city centre and next to one of conference clubs, MY, operated by Belarusian refugees). Also, in our NGO zone at the campus, you can meet two NGOs that work on the Polish-Belarusian border since the beginning of the crisis, combining activism with research, i.e. the already mentioned Researchers on the Border Group (Badaczki i Badacze na Granicy) and We Are Monitoring Association. You can visit them, have a talk, initiate a cooperation. Both of them offer workshops as well: “Countermapping the Borderscape. Methodological Reflections from the Polish–Belarusian Border” and “’They did not let us speak’: Stories from the Polish-Belarusian border”.
