Dear Anthromob Members, As an EASA2026 conference co-convenor, I would like to invite you to the event that should be of our network members’ interest: a play about the humanitarian crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border which will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by researchers-cum-activists from the Researchers on the Border Group. The event will take place on Wednesday, 18.00-19.45, in the Polish Theatre (in the city centre and next to one of conference clubs, MY, operated by Belarusian refugees). No pre-registration is required – the entry is on a first-come, first-served basis, just have your conference badge with you. Here is the link to the event in the programme: EASA2026 Programme – EASA Also, in our NGO zone at the campus, you can meet two NGOs that work on the Polish-Belarusian border since the beginning of the crisis, combining activism with research, i.e. the already mentioned Researchers on the Border Group (Badaczki i Badacze na Granicy) and We Are Monitoring Association. You can visit them, have a talk, initiate a cooperation. Both of them offer workshops as well: “Countermapping the Borderscape. Methodological Reflections from the Polish–Belarusian Border” and “’They did not let us speak’: Stories from the Polish-Belarusian border”.
