CALL FOR FILMS: MONSTERS

Riga Pasaules Film Festival is opening its call for films for its 14th edition, to be held at Kino Bize from May 5th to 9th, 2027.

The festival’s curating team is calling for documentary films that address monsters. We draw inspiration from the figure of the monster and its intersection with fear and fascination, exclusion and power, what it shows and what it warns against. We are looking for films that observe and participate in monsters' lives from within. We seek films that turn toward the monstrous and explore what its presence demonstrates about our shared world.
