Integrity committee 2025-

Hello everyone! I have a PhD in Social Sciences from the Centre of Modern Indian Studies, Georg-August Universität Göttingen (Germany). My doctoral work was on investigating the socialisation processes and networks among university students in a contemporary ideological movement in India. Since 2023, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the DFG-funded Excellence Cluster ‘Climate, Climatic Change and Society’ (CLICCS), Universität Hamburg. Here, I am investigating how the concept of ‘agency’ is conceptualised across different research backgrounds. I have degrees in Sociology, Media and Cultural Studies, and English literature from India.

I joined EASA during my doctoral studies. I am deeply committed to contributing to initiatives that foster ethical conduct, solidarity, and a respectful academic environment. My motivation to be a part of the IC stems from a sincere belief that academia should serve as a nurturing space, where fairness and integrity underpin scholarly interactions and organisational policies. As is the norm, I have also navigated the challenges within academia and understand the importance of accessible support systems and fair procedures. This drives my motivation to serve on the Integrity Committee, where I can help ensure members’ concerns are heard and addressed in a confidential, supportive, and constructive manner.
