The photo captures the essence of life across a river island in Northeast India during the monsoon season. A bamboo bridge, locally called as basher hako, connects homes, symbolising community and resilience. Small wooden fishing boats bob gently in the river bank, while, hay lies spread out to dry, covered with a blue fishing net, a testament to the region’s unique rhythm of life and weaving the daily stories of life and the river.
