The Graduate Program in Religious Studies is offering one doctoral contract in 2026, funded by PSL and affiliated with doctoral school 472 of EPHE – PSL. Deadline: April 17, 2026 (11:59 PM CET).
The doctoral contract is a fixed-term contract (3 years) between a graduate program and a doctoral student to allow the latter to devote themselves fully to their research work in preparation for their thesis. Its duration is three years.
Conditions for recruiting doctoral students
There are no age requirements or date requirements for obtaining a Master’s degree.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent. It is not necessary to have already defended a Master’s thesis to apply. Proof of Master’s degree may be provided after the interview, but failure to obtain the Master’s degree by the September review panels will invalidate the doctoral contract.
The doctoral contract can only be granted to students who will enroll in the first year of their doctoral studies in the 2026-2027 academic year. The recruitment of the selected candidate will only be effective after enrollment in the doctoral program.
