EASA Conference
The event that gathers together thousands of social anthropologists in Europe is our biennial conference, which takes place in even years. We have been told that our conferences have a distinct feel. Generally less formal than other academic congresses, they are a long-awaited moment in which we share our most recent research advances, explore theoretical developments in our field, and try out new methods and formats. They are a remarkable opportunity to encounter local cultures and to combine anthropology with art, culture, and local activism. The dancing at the final conference party is worth remembering too, we are told.
