Daniel Rodrigues Alves is a Portuguese anthropologist, researcher, and entrepreneur currently pursuing a PhD in Heritage, Territory and Technology, developed in collaboration between the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar. He holds a Master’s degree in Human Biology and Evolution and a Bachelor’s in Anthropology from the University of Coimbra, complemented by postgraduate training in SME Management. He is the founder and managing partner of Ambigrama, where he combines anthropology, research, and user research applied to business and social contexts. His professional trajectory bridges academic research and applied anthropology, including collaborations with multiple private, public and governmental institutions. With extensive experience in bioarchaeology, particularly in paleopathological and paleodemographic studies of human osteological remains from archaeological contexts, including megalithic sites, he has coordinated multiple field and laboratory projects and contributed to international publications on prehistoric populations. In parallel, he is actively involved in ethnographic and sociocultural research, innovation projects, and science communication initiatives, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach, combining scientific research, entrepreneurship, and public engagement within anthropology.
