EASA has launched a call for members to join the newly established Working Group for Public Anthropology (WGPA). Created in 2025 as part of EASA’s Strategic Plan, the WGPA aims to broaden the visibility, impact, and accessibility of anthropology beyond academia. The group will foster ethical and inclusive engagement with media, public institutions, communities, and policymakers, and will help shape initiatives such as podcasts, exhibitions, policy briefs, and educational collaborations. Four members will be selected through this open call to join the founding liaisons from the executive committee, Hayal Akarsu, Sultan Doughan, Panas Karampampas, and Jonas Tinius, for a two-year term (October 2025 – September 2027). The deadline for applications is 31 October 2025. For details on aims, structure, and how to apply, please see the full call on the website.
