To mark World Anthropology Day, the Swedish Anthropological Association (SANT) invites the public to an evening exploring the connections between food, infrastructure, and planetary processes.
19 February Thursday 18:00-20:00
Through a panel discussion and interactive workshops, the event highlights how food is shaped by global flows of transport, logistics, labour, and climate, while also engaging the senses through tasting, fermentation, and cultivation practices. Bringing together conversation, practice, and embodied experience, the programme showcases how anthropological perspectives can deepen our understanding of food as both a cultural practice and a material condition, from planet to plate.
The event is organised by the Swedish Anthropological Association (SANT) with important financial support from the Swedish Society for Anthropology and Geography (SSAG).
