EASA members – an important reminder!

All paid-up members of the European Association of Social Anthropologists (EASA) received a reminder to complete the Working Group on Academic Freedom and Human Rights survey. We encourage everyone who has not yet participated to take part. Members can find the survey link in their email inbox.

The survey aims to assess the scale and nature of institutional and public pressures on academics since October 2023 in relation to their stance on Gaza, and to better understand the extent of this phenomenon within EASA’s membership. The survey is open to all current EASA members and is fully anonymous. All members are encouraged to participate, whether or not they have directly encountered such pressures.

Findings will be discussed at the upcoming EASA conference in Poznań, creating space for members to share concerns and experiences.
