Carlotta joined the team after four years with NHS England, the last of which was working in a Covid diagnostic lab during the pandemic; before that they worked in administration and customer relations for many years. They grew up in Zambia and moved around afterwards to South America and Europe. They studied English and American Literature at undergraduate level and are currently studying creative writing as a postgraduate. They are Italian, from Sardinia, and currently reside in the UK.
