Web Systems & User Experience Lead
Eli Bugler manages the technical systems behind the EASA website, with a primary focus on the automated calendars for events and job postings. She developed a sophisticated, custom-built system that automatically organises and filters content by date and EASA network. This logic ensures that upcoming events and calls are dynamically pushed to the right places—from the mega menu and individual network pages to social media—all while maintaining specific data fields like deadlines and network affiliations.
Focus: Content and people
Beyond the technical build, Eli’s work is driven by two core pillars: content and people. She developed the Admin and Network Editor portals to empower teams to manage their own content independently, moving the organisation away from static admin pages toward a platform that gives the front stage to the research of EASA academics. She also focuses heavily on networking, specifically designing the site to better present executives, working groups, publication editors, and network convenors.
User experience, search engines and monitoring
To ensure these systems remain intuitive, Eli monitors user interactions via analytics and heat maps and rigorously tests all branded HTML emails. Her goal is to ensure the digital infrastructure helps the EASA community connect, collaborate, and showcase their best work from the field.
