Łukasz Kaczmarek is an anthropologist at the Institute of Anthropology and Ethnology, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, specialising in social mobility, identity, and power. He has conducted extensive fieldwork in Fiji, Jamaica, and among Polish migrants in Germany and Ireland. His research interests lie within the broad field of political anthropology, encompassing the ethnography of the state, power relations, policies towards diversity and identity, and social imaginaries of status and well-being in society. He studies social stratification and exclusion, attitudes, aspirations, agency, and how both groups and individuals shape sociocultural reality and influence the attitudes of others.
