Assistant Professor at the Institute of Anthropology and Ethnology, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland. He is an environmental anthropologist and multispecies ethnographer. Over the past decade, his research has focused on the environmental history of the Holocaust and the genocide–ecocide nexus. More recently, he has turned his attention to the biodeterioration of WWII heritage and urban planthropology. Outside academia, he spends time in the woods. Mushroom aficionado and lichen lover.
