Getting from the tram stop to campus

Google maps is giving the wrong directions from the tram station to campus, see below for a better route: if you cross the railway tracks at the crossing on the right hand side, you’ll find campus very quickly.

Timetable

Please use the EASA2026 timetable page to navigate conference content. For a quick reference as to when, where and how long a particular panel is, check the ‘Panels’ view in the timetable.

Use the room PCs

As the conference is hybrid and everything happens simultanously also in Zoom, presenters and convenors cannot use their own laptops for presenting – all files must be transferred onto the room’s PC.

Main venue and buildings

The conference main venue where you will find the registration desk, panels, labs and roundtables will be split over three neighbouring faculty buildings at the Morasko Campus (as shown on the image below):

Plenary and how to get there

For today’s local plenary, we will move again to the Collegium Minus, one of Poznań’s most iconic academic buildings in the historic centre – an occasion to enjoy the old city’s heritage and vibe. There are frequent tram connections available for the daily journey from the Morasko Campus to Collegium Minus.

The nearest tram stop to the Morasko Campus is “Osiedle Sobieskiego”, while the “Most Teatralny” tram stop offers the most convenient access to Collegium Minus – as well as only slightly more remote tram stops “Fredry”, “Rondo Kaponiera” or “Zamek”.

Don’t forget your badge!

Don’t forget to carry your conference badge always with you, accompanied by your ID. Badge+ID work as your free city pass and entitle you to free travel on public transport in Poznań.

Lunch Events

Various network meetings will take place during lunch at 13:30 – 14:45 with rooms spread between the Historicum and Politicum buildings for a full list see the timetable item.

Beyond Borders: Human Connection Through Volunteering will take place during lunch at 13:15 – 15:00 in room 125 in the Politicum building.

Open Mic: Voices for Academic Freedom is another lunch time event taking place between 13:30 – 15:00 in the Library Hall of the Historicum building.

Finally during lunch there is also Doing Anti-Precarity Politics: A PrecAnthro Organizing Meeting from 13:30 to 15:00 in room 366 in the Historicum building.

Plenary

After lunch we move to the Collegium Minus’s Concert Hall where the Local Committee Plenary will take place.

Evening Events

For those interested in seeing more of the city there are a number of city walks available for free for delegates, funded by the City of Poznan. The Wednesday walks are full, for Thursday and Friday please come to the conference office in 1.63 on the morning of the workshop to sign up.

For those looking to spend time digging into alternative digital cultures the Book presentation: Island in the Net – Digital Culture in Post-Castro Cuba from 18:00 to 19:00 in the ROZBRAT (Kazimierza Pułaskiego 21A), Poznan’s longest-running squat.

For those looking to immerse themselves in film The Ethnographic Film Evening – Special Screening EASA2026 will take place in Centrum Kultury Zamek, Święty Marcin 80/82 at 18:00 – 22:00. Seating is limited, to sign up, please visit the Registration Desk.

For those more interested in stage rather than the big screen the play The Little Doctor Is Back will take place from 18:00 to 19:45 in the Teatr Polski (The Polish Theatre). No pre-registration, entry on a first-come, first-served basis – have your conference badge with you (capacity: 100 people).

Finally if you want to see (or join in with) your collegues trying their hand at stand up comedy go to RollyPolly! Stand-up comedy open mic for/by anthropologists from 20:00 to 22:45 at Pan Gar (Słowackiego 19/21, Poznań)

General Reminders

ℹ️ For parents who have signed up for childcare please head to the library of the Collegium Historicum. As a reminder Wednesday childcare operating hours are: 8:40 -13:35.

ℹ️ For those needing a quiet space there are spaces in the library in the Historicum that are soundproof, as well as Politicum, 57 and Historicum, 1.48 as assigned spaces for you to use.

ℹ️ For those needing a place to work please head to to the library in Historicum.

ℹ️ For those needing a place to nurse or spend a quiet moment with your child please head to the NomadIT office in 1.63 and we will find you a room.

ℹ️ Lunch is served today at 13:15 – 15:00 in all three of the buildings. Catering is vegetarian; with vegan, gluten free, and lactose free options. Your badge will indicate to the catering team your dietary needs, so remember to keep this visible!  There are catering stations on multiple floors, so please check upstairs if you go to a a ground floor station and there are queues.

ℹ️ Those with allergies or complex dietary needs will be emailed separately, but be sure to remember to go to Collegium Politicum to collect your lunch, as these will be there.

WiFi

There were lots of reports of institutional eduroams not working on day one, it seems that the new security certificate, and a problem with signal strength, have created this problem. We apologise sincerely for the inconvenience. 

All delegates were emailed with a guest eduroam username and password, please use this if you are having problems with your home eduroam. 

For any problems, please come to the conference office in 1.63 by the registration desk in Historicum so we can direct you to the best person to help.

Parking

For those driving, the parking on campus is free to use, but don’t keep your car there between 21:00 and 06:00 (overnight).
