📢 Great news! Social Anthropology / Anthropologie sociale has been ranked 17th out of 143 journals in the Anthropology category, placing it firmly in Q1 (top quartile) according to the 2026 Journal Citation Reports!

🔹 JCI Rank: 20/143 (also Q1, 86.36 percentile)

This confirms the tendency we’ve already been seeing: the journal was ranked 6th among socio-cultural anthropology journals in the Google Scholar Metrics 2025 (June 2025) and returned to Q1 status in the SCImago Journal Rankings early this year. Together, these three rankings paint a clear picture of sustained growth in visibility and impact.
