Welcome to the first day of the conference!

As we are all settling into the conference activities we wanted to note a few things for you:

SIREN PRACTICE!

Between 07:00 and 19:00 today sirens will sound as part of a nationwide alarm system exercise. This may happen a few times through the day.

Where everything is

Getting from the tram stop to campus

Google maps is giving the wrong directions from the tram station to campus, see below for a better route: if you cross the railway tracks at the crossing on the right hand side, you’ll find campus very quickly.

Please use the EASA2026 timetable page to navigate the conference content. For a quick reference as to when, where and how long a particular panel is, check the ‘Panels’ view in the timetable.

As the conference is hybrid and everything happens simultanously also in Zoom, presenters and convenors cannot use their own laptops for presenting – all files must be transferred onto the room’s PC.

The conference main venue where you will find the registration desk, panels, labs and roundtables will be split over three neighbouring faculty buildings at the Morasko Campus (as shown on the image below):

The Morasko Campus Map

For todays opening and keynote, we will move to the Collegium Minus, one of Poznań’s most iconic academic buildings in the historic centre – an occasion to enjoy the old city’s heritage and vibe. There are frequent tram connections available for the daily journey from the Morasko Campus to Collegium Minus.

The nearest tram stop to the Morasko Campus is “Osiedle Sobieskiego”, while the “Most Teatralny” tram stop offers the most convenient access to Collegium Minus – as well as only slightly more remote tram stops “Fredry”, “Rondo Kaponiera” or “Zamek”.

Don’t forget to carry your conference badge always with you, accompanied by your ID. Badge+ID work as your free city pass and entitle you to free travel on public transport in Poznań.

WiFi

Eduroam is available for those from European institutions, and you can access it the usual way.

For those without European Eduroam, the University will be providing free eduroam accounts to all delegates throughout the conference.

Everyone received the following email yesterday Sunday, 19 July:
Title: “Przyznano gościnny dostęp do Internetu”
From: “Uniwersytet im. Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu “

The email will contain personalised login credentials and must not be shared with others.

To use the credentials, please connect to the “eduroam” wireless connection found on campus. You will receive a login request to your device.

The access will expire on Saturday, 25 July.

If you already have eduroam, disregard the email and access your institutional eduroam as normal.

A note about the party on Friday

For those who are heading to the conference party on Friday, at the ZAMEK Castle Cultural Centre, please note that:

  • There will be catering, which includes food and two beers per person. There will also be a commercial sale of drinks (beer and soft drinks) offered by the café that is located in the Castle. Apart from the café itself, there will be stalls in the foyer between the Great Hall and Exhibition Hall and in the foyer between the Great Hall and the balcony.
  • It is strictly prohibited to bring any food or drinks to the Great Hall (i.e the concert hall) 

Catering

There is no lunch today so we recommend getting food in town before you come to the university. There is a refreshment break at 15:30 – 16:15 after the first panel session. 

Catering is vegetarian; with vegan, gluten free, and lactose free options. Your badge will indicate to the catering team your dietary needs, so remember to keep this visible!

Special Rooms and Childcare

For parents who have signed up for childcare please head to the library of the Collegium Historicum. As a reminder Tuesdays childcare operating hours are: 13:25 -18:20.

For those needing a quiet space there are spaces in the library in the Historicum that are soundproof, as well as Politicum, 57 and Historicum, 1.48 as assigned spaces for you to use.

For those needing a place to work please head to the library in Historicum.

For those needing a place to nurse or spend a quiet moment with your child please head to the NomadIT office in 1.63 and we will find you a room.
