Network Panels
Members of networks are strongly encouraged to organise one or more network panels and to have a business meeting at EASA2026. At least one panel per network is guaranteed to be on the programme, while the remaining network proposals will be graded along with other submissions.
For panel proposers
Those who wish to propose a panel related to an EASA network, please contact the network convenors to show them your proposal before submitting it with the network’s name attached to your panel. Most networks expect panels to come from their network members.
How to submit a network panel in the system
At the point of panel proposing, network panels must be identified by a) adding the network title to the panel title in square brackets, like so: [Anthropology of Food (FoodNet)], and b) clicking on the “network” tag button.
Please note that if you do not do this, we will not be aware that the panel is representing a network. Please do not add a network to your panel title unless you have agreed it with the network in question beforehand.
For network convenors
Please note:
If there is a single panel coming from your network, it will be accepted automatically.
If there are several panels wishing to go under your banner, you have two options:
- You let us know that your network does not want to endorse a particular panel and leave the picking to the Scientific Committee. The SC will mark all panels and will designate the one with the highest grades from the reviewers as the one that will definitely get in from your network. Any other panels from your network with a high grade will also be accepted of course, but one is guaranteed.
- You gather info on all panels within your network beforehand and decide which one to endorse. You inform us of the title of that panel, and this will be automatically marked accepted. All other panels from your network will be in fair competition with all the other panels proposed and those with a high enough grade will get in.
Once the call has ended, you will receive from us a list of panels submitted with your network’s name attached, and a request to make a decision on how you’d like to proceed if you haven’t already told us.
Networks please note: Each network will be guaranteed one accepted panel, as has been the case in previous biennials. Collaborative panels between two or more EASA networks will also be given precedence in the selection process.
Network convenors may wish to consult the network rules prior to proposing and attending the conference.
