Workshop: Embodied Documentary Filmmaking - October 2024
Dear all,
Apologies for cross-posting. You are invited to join us for the October rendition of our documentary filmmaking workshop "The Stories Our Bodies Hold". The workshop will focus on embodiment as a lens for making documentary films, and each participant will leave with their own short film about the body, related to the topic of their choosing.
The workshop will be held on Tuesdays in October from 7 - 9 PM BST. Up to 12 people (with any level of filmmaking experience) are invited to join:
The workshop is inherently multi-disciplinary and touches on themes of embodiment, phenomenology, experimental film, and documentary filmmaking. We will focus largely on directing, but participants will also have the chance to develop some technical skills in filmmaking as well. We have had people join from a large number of disciplines to make short films from an embodied lens on topics ranging from health, disability, race, sexuality, gender, age, class, and environment.
