Call for application: ethnocineca FILMWERKSTATT
Dear friends and colleagues, I am very happy to announce that the ethnocineca Filmwerkstatt is back! It will take place as part of ethnocineca filmfestival, Vienna's docfilm festival with an enthographic focus, from the April 30th until May 11th. After five days of professional input and lively discussions about how to tell a personal or politically relevant story, participants will produce their own documentary films in teams. Deadline for application is 28.2.2025 at 23.59 pm. Since the main workshop language will be English, we will - for the first time - be considering applications from non-German speakers. Call for Application open ethnocineca Filmwerkstatt 2025
Are you interested in documentary film? Have you always wanted to deal with a topic visually? Then the 12-day ethnocineca film workshop is just right for you.
From 30.04. (afternoon) - 11.05.2025 we invite you to the Creative Cluster in Vienna to explore the genre together with international filmmakers and anthropologists. After five days of professional input the participants will produce their own documentary films in teams. In addition to lively discussions and practical input about camera work, this year we are particularly looking forward to our guest speakers: filmmaker Anna Hints (Smoke Sauna Sisterhood), visual anthropologist Sanderien Verstappen and director of photography Serafin Spitzer, to name just some. The workshop languages will be English (proficiency is a prerequisite) and German (proficiency beneficial, but not required). You want to be part of it? Apply by 28.02.2025.
