In the shoes of an anthropologist

As part of the European Anthropology Days, we invite you on Thursday February 20, 2025 6 pm at La Ferme du Bonheur (Happiness Farm), on the campus of the University of Nanterre, to take part in a role-playing game inspired by the research fields of young masters in anthropology. Participants will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of an anthropologist and resolve dilemmas encountered during ethnographic work. Three games will be offered: The head in the Clouds on learning falconry in Kyrgyzstan, At the foot of a tree on sacred trees in Bali, and On the trail of the jaguars on the cohabitation between breeders and big cats in French Guiana. The event will begin at 6 p.m. with three 30-minute gaming sessions, interspersed with live musical interludes by our fellow students anthropologists/musicians. We will end the evening with a festive and dancing moment, animated by a playlist created by doctoral students in connection with their research work.
