Apply now for EASA’s free and fully remote new mentorship program
The European Association for Social Anthropologists (EASA) invites applications for its newly launched mentorship program. This free and fully-remote mentorship program aims to provide academic guidance and support for early-to mid-career scholars depending on their career stage and needs while facilitating long-lasting relationships with mentors and mentees. Applications from underrepresented groups and those with limited institutional support for their professional development are especially encouraged and will be prioritized in the selection process.
The mentorship program is scheduled to take place from September 2024 until May 2025. There will be a total of eight meetings consisting of three one-on-one mentor-mentee sessions for each semester (six in total) and 2 group meetings with all mentors and mentees. These two plenary sessions will be moderated by Dr. Hege Høyer Leivestad and Dr. Hayal Akarsu. Mentees will receive a certificate of completion upon the conclusion of the program.
Eligibility
-
The mentorship program is open to early-to mid-career scholars (late-PhD students, postdocs, contingent faculty, and assistant professors who have received their PhDs no more than 8 years ago).
-
Applicants need to be EASA members.
-
A total of 10-15 mentees will be selected, and the program necessitates a serious commitment from the mentees to the scheduled mentorship meetings, so please take this into account while applying.
Please complete this application form answering all required questions by August 1, 2024, midnight (CEST). Incomplete applications will not be considered.
