Early bird registration opened on 15 April and will close on 16 June. The panel timetable is now live, along with other conference events and activities.

All participants - panel convenors, authors, chairs, discussants, organisers, keynotes, plenary speakers, guests, volunteers, committee members and those without any specific role - MUST register in advance of the event.

Please make sure you have either renewed or applied for EASA membership before you register. It is obligatory for panel convenors and authors to be a paid-up member of EASA for 2024.

Registration is by online form only. While you can pay immediately after completing your registration, it is not obligatory. You will be emailed an invoice with payment information (for card or bank transfer). We’d ask that invoices be settled within 15 days.

Face to Face (f2f):

F2f registration gives access to an opening drinks reception, five tea/coffee breaks, and all sessions and events. There will be no lunch provided with registration. F2f delegates have access to, and are warmly encouraged to participate in the online day, which to better enable that, takes place the week before the f2f conference, on Thursday 18th July.

The conference party ticket is a charged-for extra (€30), to be booked at the time of registration. The party will take place at the Museu Marítim de Barcelona, will run from 19:30 until late, includes finger food and one drink (thereafter cash bar) and music.

Online-only registration gives access to all online panels and alternate formats which are part of the online day (Thursday 18 July), as well as the keynotes and plenaries from the f2f conference (23-26 July).

Early Bird will be open from 15 April to 16 June. After this, standard fees will apply which will be more expensive.

What are you paying for?

EASA prioritises the attendance of precarious scholars using the full price fees to subsidise the low-income registration fee, and also through funding travel and accommodation of many of those on low/no income.

Funding

Through a generous award from the Wenner-Gren Foundation, supplemented by EASA money, funds were made available to support delegate attendance.

The call for funding was open until 2 April, outcome was announced on 24 April. Of 670 applicants, 500 were eligible according to the criteria. 21% of eligible applicants were awarded funding.

Accommodation is not bookable as part of registration, but we have gathered lots of good deals for you, shown on the accommodation page.

Cancelation and Refund Policy

If you are unhappy with the service you are provided as a delegate, you do have the right to cancel your booking and request a refund. Cancellations more than three weeks before the conference (2 July) will be refunded, less a small amount to cover administrative and finance costs. Cancellations after that point will not be offered a full refund, due to costs already incurred. Refunds at that point will be discretionary.

Each request will be considered on its merits, and in line with The Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, and where appropriate a full refund will be given.
