Life after lockdown in Wuhan

2021 | 24’ | China / The Netherlands
Willy Sier and Xu Xiaotou

This film is the result of a collaboration between Xu and Willy. Rooted in a long-term ethnographic research, the film is put together from materials filmed on by Xu on her phone in the period after lockdown in Wuhan. First, we see how the factory environment where Xu works has changed after she returns from lockdown. Later, we travel with Xu to her home town to visit her parents.
