Ethnographic film 'Kashi Labh' - Dying and Death

Dear Vaneasa members,

I have spent the last few years researching on dying and death. Although,
my fieldwork was based in Banaras where I looked at family as a unit of
care during the end-of-life, I studied ideas on the 'right way to die'
across the world. Made an anthropological film that explores the manner in
which families co-create the dying process of their relatives
(physiologically in the last stages of life) within the social aesthetics
of Kashi Labh Muktibhawan, a salvation home in Kashi. Here's the film

I am interested in screening this film in classrooms and other spaces to
initiate a casual conversation on dying and death and see where it goes. I
just graduated with M.A in Audiovisual Ethnography from Tallinn University
(Estonia). Please let me know if you are keen to hold screenings +
discussions.

It would also be great to connect with people who are doing similar
research and / or looking at building alternative spaces for
end-of-life-care where the family members are equally involved. I plan to
continue building on this research and apply it.

Forever grateful to this group for being a source of inspiration.

Thank you.
