Contributions to a special issue
Dear all,
We hope this message finds you well and in good health!
We are thrilled to announce the Call for Papers for a special Issue entitled
Ethnographies at the Touch of the Screen: exploring anthropological methods,
ethics, aesthetics, and knowledge with smartphones
to be published in 2024 in the innovative peer-review journal GIS - Gesture,
Image, and Sound - Journal of Anthropology (University of So Paulo).

GIS is completely open access, and all articles are published in English and
Portuguese, guaranteeing a wide readership.
Paper proposals should fulfil all requirements listed by GIS at
